Shootme Lisboa
FAQ
Everything you need before we meet — booking, sessions, delivery, and what to wear in Lisbon. Simple answers, no fluff.
01
Booking
How do I book?
You can book directly online, or send a WhatsApp message with your dates. I reply within a few hours. Email works too via the contact form.
How far ahead should I book?
April–October: as early as possible — weekends fill fast. Outside peak season, a few days’ notice is usually fine. Last-minute requests are always worth asking about.
What if it rains?
We reschedule at no charge. Overcast Lisbon light can actually be beautiful — so if it’s soft rather than a downpour, we might keep the session.
Is there a deposit?
Yes — a small deposit confirms your date. The remainder is due on the day. Corporate clients can arrange invoice terms in advance.
02
The session
Do I need to know how to pose?
No. I give simple prompts — walk, look at the view, lean in — and capture what happens naturally. The best photos are never rehearsed.
Where do we shoot?
I’ll suggest locations based on your style and the light — Alfama, Chiado, Belém, Sintra. If you have a spot in mind, bring it. If not, leave it to me.
Do you photograph proposals?
Yes, regularly. I help plan the moment, scout the location, and stay completely out of sight until it happens. Message me well in advance.
Can I add a videographer?
Yes — a videographer and second photographer are available for larger sessions and events. Just mention it when you get in touch.
03
Delivery
How are photos delivered?
Via a secure, private download link. For couples, families and headshot sessions, you also get access to an online gallery where you can optionally select your favourite images before editing — a great way to personalise your final set. Corporate events are delivered as a fully edited gallery, ready to use.
How long does it take?
Couples & portraits: 5–7 days. Corporate events: 7–10 days. Rush delivery available for press or urgent needs.
Can I use photos on social media and print?
Yes — full personal usage rights included with every session. Corporate clients receive full commercial rights as standard.
WHAT TO WEAR
Lisbon’s streets are full of colour and texture — your outfit is part of the photo. The right choice depends on where we shoot.
General rule: solid colours, well-fitted clothes, and fabrics that breathe. Comfort shows in body language.
Alfama
Busy blue tiles and terracotta walls. Keep it simple — cream, white, warm earth tones. Solid colours let you stand out without clashing.
Chiado
Saffron and pink facades. Deep navy, emerald, or rich jewel tones create strong contrast against the warm buildings.
Belém
Open sky and stone monuments. Soft blues, linen tones, white — they mirror the Atlantic palette perfectly in open light.
Sintra
Forest and castle walls. Warm, rich tones — ochre, burgundy, deep brown — feel at home among the stone and greenery.
Do
Natural fabrics
Linen, cotton, and knitwear move well and photograph beautifully. They also keep you comfortable on Lisbon’s hills.
Do
Bring a light layer
A blazer, linen shirt, or scarf gives you a second look and keeps you warm when the Tejo breeze picks up in the evening.
Do
Coordinate, don’t match
For couples and families, choose a 2–3 colour palette together. Complementary tones look intentional without looking staged.
Avoid
Small patterns
Stripes and polka dots clash with Lisbon’s tiled buildings and create a moiré effect on camera. Solid always wins.
Avoid
Logos & graphics
Brand logos dominate the image and date the photo quickly. You’re the subject — clothes should frame you, not distract.
Avoid
All-black in summer
Black looks heavy against Lisbon’s bright pastel streets. Deep navy or charcoal photograph with much more depth.
